You will find below licences required to enter the Dakar and Dakar Classic 2025. A 2025 licence is required for each category. Applications for 2025 licences will begin in December 2024 with your National Federation.
Please note: The licence will be verified at the final administrative checks.
MOTO
Each participant in the FIM categories must hold an international FIM 2025 licence.
ULTIMATE / CHALLENGER / SSV / TRUCK / STOCK
- Ultimate category: International C road 2025 licence (FIA code ITC-R / FFSA code ICCCR) is compulsory.
- Challenger / SSV / Truck / Stock categories: International D road 2025 licence (FIA Code ITD-R / FFSA Code ICCDRO) is required as a minimum.
If you are being issued with an international road licence for the first time, you must comply with the following experience requirements, in accordance with current FIA licensing regulations:
- For the International C road licence:
- Have been classified sufficiently in 10 competitions*, including at least 5 on road, in the two years preceding the application.
- OR
- Hold an international D road licence and have been classified sufficiently in at least 5 road competitions in the two years preceding the application. ·
- For the International D road licence: Have been satisfactorily classified in at least 5 competitions
* Only national competitions listed on the national federations' calendars and/or international competitions listed on the FIA International Sporting Calendar are taken into account.
In all cases, contact your national federation to check the conditions for obtaining an International road licence.
DAKAR CLASSIC
- A 2025 national grade license for road necessarily accompanied by a written authorization from their national federation to race abroad
OR
- A 2025 international grade license for regularity events necessarily accompanied by a written authorization from their national federation to race abroad
MISSION 1000
No licence is required in the MISSION 1000 category.
ASSISTANCE
No licence is required in the "assistance" category.
